Dear Members of the International Heinrich-Schütz-Society,
I very much hope that you have all fared well in these difficult times. Heavy-hearted I need to inform you that the Board of the ISG had to cancel this year’s International Heinrich-Schütz-Festival, scheduled to take place in Wolfenbüttel from 1st to 4th July.
Hesitating for a long time to make this decision, unfortunately, we had to realize by holding this event, a huge deficit would be inevitable. Thus, the Board of Directors could not make any other decision due to the responsibility we have for our society.
However, our local partners in Wolfenbüttel are currently assuming they will be able to hold their events as a part of Michael Praetorius year 2021. Wolfenbüttel is always worth a trip. To find out about upcoming events please visit: www.michael-praetorius-2021.de.
We will set a date for our general meeting very soon, so please expect our invitation to attend, as we are looking forward to welcoming you there.
Wishing you all the best in these uncertain times, especially to stay in good health, I would like to close by emphasising, once again, how delighted I would feel to see and welcome you at our general meeting in autumn.
